christmas starts today

going to make big pot of tea and start writing cards .....need to start early as will not have much time with looking after dad etc....'Fraid christmas a bit of a damp squid this year but want to make the effort to make things as normal as I can for dad especially !..thank god for M&S..going to buy christmas in ..all oven ready !!

Thank god for the local pub near my parents as we're going there for Christmas lunch. I'm in a similar position Murray as my dad has prostate cancer and its spread to his bones. He's in a lot of pain from his hip at the moment and has just had his first targeted radiotherapy which were hoping will ease things over Christmas. Enjoy your card writing. Go on.....have a couple of mince pies too! M&S of course.

sorry to hear that Zac....real role reversal when your parents age and become ill...still I would do anything for them ..they are my world and I owe them so much !

im obviously not celebrating christmas but my family do, so far ive wrapped up the grandsons pressies but left the granddaughters as me and a mate are going to have a wrapping party... which consists of her getting sozzled on brandy and me drinking tea lol ... im not sending any cards, which i didnt bother with anyway.

im not bothering with a christmas dinner i dont think.... last two years my OH wanted dinner and also last year wanted the tree up and see what a traditional christmas was like as hes never ever seen one and was curious lol

all in all im just looking forward to a few days peace and quiet and as many quality streets as i can stuff down myself without being sick lol
