As a biker I have a special eye open for particular car/driver combinations :

** Micras driven by old men in flat caps scare the crap out of me

** Yummy Mummies in BMW Chelsea Tractors need an awful lot of road (especially when texting)

** Nissan QashQuai (sp?) seems to have replaced the Rover 75 as the weapon of choice for the 'pissed at the golf club but still safe to drive' mob

** Any vehicle with a 'Baby on Board' sticker - usually being driven by someone with (at most) 10% of their brain being used for driving

This has got me wondering. I drive fairly fast. FAIRLY!!!! Shrieks the daughter.
Will I turn into a slow old dear..or will the Gness who does 90+ at the age of 62 be doing 90+ at the age of 92..if she survives?
Phew!! None of the above. :-)
I make a determined effort not to speed (well most of the time). Fancy being booked for speeding in a Smartcar :-(
It's not the speed half the time though. It's, as I mentioned earlier, the total lack of awareness of other drivers and pedestrians, which sadly seems to be a problem more for women drivers than men.
SD, I just find it amazing that the 'Baby on Board' sticker originally designed to alert the Emergency Serices to the presence of a child in the event of an accident has become a fashion acceccory.
Go on Crafty....see it as a challenge! x

Never a truer word Boo. My driver yesterday wasn't too fast or too slow when she finally selected a gear. It really was being totally oblivious to what was going on around her.......and the problems she was causing for others. I'm pretty hey-ho and oh well as a rule but I was scared beyond witless.
The perm, the glasses, the death grip on the steering wheel, the fixed stare. Men or women.

s i too am a lady driver lol ! but not quite in my dotage yet. i drive at least 500 miles a week so you can imagine how many bad drivers i see! there is an old man who drives a 4x4 that regulaarly parks on my street and he definately shouldnt get behind the wheel, he cant even get the key in the lock properly i cringe when i see him trying to park especially if its near my car!
I stopped shopping at the co-op because of the elderly people parking...after a fashion... and shopping there. :-)
