... the last time only 2 English teams got through the group stage into the knockout rounds?

That's looking to be the way it's going to be this time around.

Not sure, but I bet the Chelsea manager and the Man C manager dont last the season.

Guardiola (ex Barcelona) will be at one of the clubs soon.

With Abramovich's itchy trigger finger, Di Matteo certainly looks like he's about to get the horse's head any day now but maybe Mancini is safer; he might quit rather than wait to be pushed.
You were right.
Last night's bet of choice was Chelski, ManUre and Septic ALL to lose.

I was sure Chelsea and Celtic would, and I had a pretty good suspicion Man Utd would as it was a certainty Sir Awex would rest players. It will be collected this afternoon and spent tonight as I am off for the next five days.
Last season. The top teams in Europe come increasingly from outside the EPL. So if there are only 2 or even 1 in the last 16 it'll hardly be a surprise. Chelsea were probably the worst-ever winners so again hardly surprising they're probably not going to make it.
