When you see things like camel's feet served up to be eaten by the contestants on I'm A Celebrity, do you think the animals have been killed for that purpose? I do, no matter how much the programme-makers may deny it. I find it hard to believe this is permissable as entertainment in this 21st century

''I do, no matter how much the programme-makers may deny it.''

And what exactly has brought you to this conclusion?
Ratty girls reply to em's post cracked me up! LOL!
The "celebrities" make such a fuss of eating all the bits and bobs (for the want of a better term). All of it is edible, maybe not very tasty, but they won't die from eating a kangaroo's winkie.

You would think that after 3 days of rice and beans they'd be quite happy to get something a bit more substantial.
I seriously doubt that any 'higher order' animals are killed for their parts for this odious entertainment.

That said, the use of insects and so on as live food for entertainment is wrong in my view, so I don't watch the show on that basis.

Grubs and roaches may not be as aesthetically attractive as puppies or kittens, and make no audible noise as they are eaten alive, but the priniciple is still nasty.
