Something odd is happening! When I am using Windows media player (v10) I notice that the destop screen behind loses its icons and the taskbar along the bottom. The picture is still there but nothing else. This has happened about a dozen times recently. I have tried all the obvious things to get the icons and taskbar to reappear, but nothing seems to work, right clicking the mouse doesn't even bring up a box, nor do any keyboard strokes. All I can do is restart (ctrl+alt+del still brings up task manager). Any ideas anyone?

Hi yellowjohn, already done the restore but still seems to be acting up. Don't want to go back too far as I'll have too much to re-install! Re-installing media player sounds like a good idea, I'll do it and see if it helps. Many thanks for your help
