Keeping emails when closing account

I wish to terminate a Yahoo email but wish to keep the emails for the record, how do I do this, thank you.

Just because you open a new email address doesn't mean you have to give up the Yahoo account - so they remain where they are.

If you really HAVE to close the account, you could copy and paste them into Word, or just print them out.
As said on your other thread, just setup a mail client like outlook express to download the mails onto your computer.

Set up something like outlook express with the yahoo account details, wait until OE has downloaded all the mails, close the account.
... or forward them to your new account, but it seems they'd have to be forwarded individually
Alternatively, you could import them to your new account before closing the old one.

Or you could save them as Screen shots. The possibilities seem to be endless.
