Now I'm not one to post up about men. However, I need opinions/advice. Good or bad? I ASKED. Anyways, I have started a new job & there is this guy, who sits beside me & i think he may like me. Only problem? I am really bad at judging this and I do tend to over look things. Whilst I think he may like me, it is possible, that he is just being friendly; as a work mate should be. What are the signs a guy likes you?

If I knew of any sure fire ways to judge that my past love life would have improved beyond measure.

"likes you" "just being friendly" at best the difference is a thin one. One is friendly to those one likes, right ? So the signs for both are much the same.

Just be friendly back and see how it goes, maybe, if you are interested in doing so, pushing the boundary gradually until you realise whether your interest is welcome or not.
He's being nice to you because he sits beside you - leave it at that. Don't try to read more into it that there is.
Work relationships are dangerous ground. Even if he does "like" you and you get together, imagine the complications if/when you row or fall out?
It's a new job, he's a new person, you have met just see what happens, as time goes on and conversations flow you will find out more about each other.
You certainly don't want to appear to be a man chasing newbie.
Good luck with the job, be efficient don't let yourself become distracted in the workplace by this guy, if he's interested let him make the first move.
It is worth being aware that there can be novelty value involved. No wish to make light of it, but an attractive member of the opposite sex starting in the work environment is likely to generate a lot of interest. So best not to rush things.
Ask him how his weekend went. You will get hints if he is already with someone from his answer. Maybe get a group to go out for after work drink and get to know him better there. Good luck!
are you a pilot or an astronaut? if not then just chill out and see how you both get on, it's not essential that you like each other really,

I accidentally hit done! Was just going to say that I made a decision never to mix business with pleasure and now, nearing retirement have not regretted it. Better to keep work relationships friendly. Having said that my daughter married a work colleague. In your situation I would let him be the one to take things further if that is what you want.
I agree with grasscarp.........let him decide what is going to happen and just concentrate of doing a good job.....................P

Yeah I guess you are all right here. He tells me frequently that he thinks I am a stunning girl etc, however again, possibly just being nice and complimentary to me. I will take all this on board and let him come to me and pursue me. I guess if he likes me, time will tell. I fully agree working relationships can be detrimental if things go wrong, so maybe I should consider leaving this crush as just a little flirtatious banter and nothing more. I get butterflies when I see him at work however and somethings he says makes me think he does like me, but other times, I don't. We sometimes text each other and can send each other very long texts, but other times he doesn't reply. Other times he tells me I'm a gorgeous lass and have a nice body etc. I'm bad for over looking into things and I don't want to over look an innocent friendship for something else. Time will tell. :) Thanks guys!
