Evening all!

I need some help with being creative :)

I have bought my husband for Christmas two tickets for us to have a long weekend in Budapest in early January (which I have arranged with his manager for him to have the time off etc).

Anyway, I wanted to give it to him on Christmas Day but I wanted some creative/imaginative way to give it to him rather than just putting them in an envelope or something.

Does anyone have any suggestions??

Thanks :)

Wrap up separately a packet of Hungarian paprika, a Budapest guide book and finally the tickets in an envelope.
hide clues around the house until he finally finds the envelope - so you start by giving him an envelope with a clue like "you'll find a clue to the treasure where butter wouldn't melt" - next clue in the fridge etc ....dot them around where he won't find them without the clues - keep him busy for a while and build up the excitement! xx What a lovely gift idea by the way, and arranging time off for him too - very nice (I hope he doesn't just buy you some talc and slippers!) xx

lol triggs, but a good idea one boob can be buda, the other pest
I can't imagine what triggs' suggestion was, except improper. But anyway, dress up warm. I was in Budapest last March and it ranged from chilly to icy. The wind comes straight along the Danube from Novosibirsk. Lovely city, though.
Can I recommend the Citadella restaurant on the hill top, overlooking Parliament buildings and the Danube, as well as Buda and Pest. The views at night are absolutely breathtaking and the food and wine are magnificent. Slightly pricey, but worth every Huff.
Open one end of a Christmas cracker, slide the tickets in, fasten it back up again.
Job's a good'un.
P.S. make sure he gets the right cracker or you'll be off to Budapest with someone else.
and have afternoon tea in the cafe on top of the Paris department store on Andrassy ut
