LEGO figure

My son wants me to start listing his huge collection of LEGO on Ebay, as he doesnt use it anymore. No problem with that. But he has one figure which he reckons is quite old and worth a little bit more than the rest. I have absolutely no idea how to find this out? Have tried searching on Ebay but can't seem to find anything like it so far.

Ok, its 3 inches high, a man in black trousers and top, red hands and shoes.Yellow collar. On front of top it says Kart Race. Word Kart is white on red backing and Race is red on white backing. Yellow line down front and 2 yellow lines for pockets. Oh, and yellow hair.

When lego produced the Dr. Who figures in little packets £1.99 , my son, aged 10 found an 'ultra rare' one - he sold it on ebay for -wait for it...£210 -it went to Australia!

Have you tried looking on ebay searching with Kart Race. here's one- it's noyt your but you may be able to find others. or is there a LEGO fans forum?
