how many songs can 1GB hold? how many can 512MB hold?

There are two main types of format that can be used on an MP3 player, one called MP3, the other called WMA (not all MP3 players can play WMA files).


WMA files tend to be smaller than MP3 files.


MP3 song are between 3Mb to 5Mb each so at an average of 4Mb you can hold about 120 songs on 512Mb, and 240 songs on 1Gb.


Of course if all the songs were short it could hold more, if all the songs were longer it would hold less.

don't forget AAC files helpfulguy. pretty popular too i'd say.
