Keep on getting message START WINDOWS NORMALLY

I just cannot start my computer, It looks like its going to open ok but then goes to black screen giving options to start, one of them being "START WINDOWS NORMALLY" When I go for this option it just goes back and repeats the message time after time. Any suggestions would be welcome.

choose start windows in safe mode instead
sometimes, a problem can be fixed simply by starting in safe mode, then shutting down and restarting

Hi,

Try pressing F8 as soon as your machine powers on. This will get you to a boot menu of same kind. You don't mention your OS version so I can't help beyond that! If it's Windows 7 you can try any or all the options as you've nothing to lose.
