I am looking for a model cement mixer that is on its own. i.e unattached to anything else. Preferably made of metal and reasonably modern. It is for my son who has learning dissabilities which is the reason for my specification. Really having difficulty finding one. Can anyone help me.

i think i answered this question before, but where in the country do you live .. i swear i saw one in a model shop in henley-on-thames
Bob the Builder has a character called dizzy - a cement mixer. Might be a bit 'novelty' but they do model version.

Hi, i have seen your question before so i thought i'd try to help - did you say it has to be operational ? and how big does it need to be ?

Depending on the requirements, i could try to build you one at work (out of waste/offcuts and in free time) therefore costing very little.

although i am not the poster of this question i just have to say "that's so sweet" to the poster above

thankyou for all your answers. I thing Bob the builders cement mixer would be a little young, my son is in his thirtys, The shop in Henley on Thames would be impossible for me to get to, even if I had a name. I thank the person who offered to make me one, very kind, I am now trying to get in touch with cement mixer manufacturers to see if the have an actual scale model (like JCB,s have actual scale models) this is really what Tim wants, he is a stickler for details
I found this http://www.discounttrainsonline.com/Scale-Scenics-Construction-Cement-Mixer/item652-3502.html through Google, it's a US based site and there isn't a good picture and there's no indication how big it is but it's as good as I've found so far. I like a challenge ;-)
I dont know how big you want it but i have found a very small one designed for model railway. It is on a website called On Tracks

http://www.ontrackscart.co.uk/catalogo.html

and the product number is Noch 15035

I doubt it is suitable but you never know - sorry about the Bob the Builder tip - feel a bit of plonker now.
