does anyone know if there are any plans to make Mr Benn the movie? i heard rumours ages ago but was wondering if they were true.

I remember too about the Mr Benn movie. Strange as it may sound, but i remember hollywood actors Joe Pesci and Johnny Depp being linked to the movie version.

John Hannah (Mr. Benn); Ben Kingsley (The Shopkeeper); Jane Horrocks (Monica McBride).

Apparently it might be true, but then Ralph Fiennes and Sean Connery have also been tipped for the parts of Mr Benn, and the shopkeeper respectively.
