Hi Sib and everyone. You are all lovely. While I was away my mother took a turn for the worse. I went into the home today to sign the DNR forms and to sit with her. She has never liked me and we never got on well but she's my responsibility and anyway I would never wish what is happening to her on anyone. Bloody Alzheimers!!! Spelling I know. :-)

Really sorry to hear this headwreck, you have my immense sympathy at this time.

And to you as well, naomi, I am sure you will be brave - focus on the good times that you had!

DTC (bed for me now).

In my experience, there's no answer to it gness, none at all. You're just going to have to roll with it 'till the next piece is over, then past. And take the world and your own tomorrow as it comes.

Be kind to yourself with rest and thought, eat well and sleep. xx
Sorry to hear about your sadness Naomi and headwreck, and Gness, it's really hard to watch someone nearing the end of their lives, whether you got on well or not they are still parents. I know how it feels my sister and I were born during the war, my brother and youngest sister were born 8 and 12 years respectively later. When live was easier. All her attention was taken with my brother and youngest sister, we didn't have a look in. I felt lost when she died, I mourned her and I mourned not having her affection more.
^^when life was easier.
Bless you gran ♥ Their passing is probably one of the hardest things most will have to deal with.
I send my heartfelt wishes and strength where it is needed to all the girls on here tonight who are so affected by this - your hearts are torn apart, all we can do is be here to cradle and help you recover a little at a time ♥♥♥

mamya, wonderful words, a hug for all of you tonight (())
You are all so kind on here and I have just realised, after emailing Sib and having a couple of ABer chats, that it's being able to talk without having someone telling me what I should be doing or that what I am doing is wrong that makes the difference.
Will sleep better now....thank you all.

Love Gx.

Thank you for your love and good wishes. I really do appreciate you all being here now.
No change today. Ma's drinking a little but refusing food. I think yesterday the change in her shocked me and it was a horrible night but I was at least prepared for it today. Lord knows how long someone can survive without food but, knowing my mother, she will break all records.
I could curl up and sleep now but friends have NT Live tickets for me so maybe a shower to buck me up. Or I could let one of the posties out of the spare room for a while. :-) Behave Gness !!!!!!
Much love Gx
