Well, I'm on all of the major free dating websites and think I've about had my full of them. People are rarely serious and I guess that may be because it's free. I also find that perhaps the girls are fed up with the blokes so have little patience. (I just setup a profile as a girl to advertise a club I am a member of and geeze, guys don't even read profiles)

I'm wondering if paid sites are any better as paying for a service would denote your serious so hopefully I'd not be messed about too much. The other conundrum is which one? they are not cheap and I'm only signing up to one!

Had a lot of fun on a lot of sites pof n wwf were gr8 fab swingers as well n wish u x
There has to be another way surely. "fab swingers"?!?! Pof is meant to be a dating site. I think its nice to hear from a guy who doesnt want all that stuff and who wants a serious relationship. I have a female friend who wants that to and is wondering what site to use.

I'm 29 lost enough time already, just want to settle down but fed up with girls having unrealistic expectations or a lack of adult attitude.
what do you mean by lack of an adult attitude and unrealistic expections, explain
okcupid is free and good for chats and meeting.

Good luck!

well i have one young lady insist on driving 20 miles to meet me locally to me, she spent all of the time looking at the TV in the pub and just giving quick answers to my questions only to turn back to the TV, then told me when we messaged later that I was too quiet. Granted I'm shy on dates too but it takes two to tango I can't have a conversation with someone who won't.

Many girls expect and instant spark and I think come with too many preconceptions and if it don't all work out as predicted just decide it will never work.
I think its hard to generalise and you also have to kiss a lot of frogs. How long have you been trying to meet people online for? Its easy to get cynical and catagorise people quickly. Just give everyone the same fair chance and try not to take anything personally. I tell my female friend this at work. Where do you live?
People keep trying to get me to sign up to online dating but after I tried it years ago I just can't be bothered. To be honest, it feels like I'm buying a fridge or something.

In my opinion these sites prey on lonely peoples desires. Why should you have to pay for 'love'?

I'd rather just wait and see what happens. As my sis says, if it's meant for you it won't pass you by.

5 years been looking. No I don't judge quickly, but it seems i am judged quickly. I've talked to many, met a few and hardly any talk to me after that.

Yes I know how websites prey on lonely people, my head is screwed on a bit too tight to fool for it.
Maybe you should just stop looking. Concentrate on something else until it finds you.

Well I got fed up wrote a hort and blunt profile and didn't bother to try and impress and low and behold I'm talking to one nice sounding person.
There you go then, trying less works more.
Good luck, Thunderchild. Whats happened to the days when you met a girl / boy at a club, pub or disco ?
