Does anyone know the best time to see this tonight in NI? I have tried a couple of websites without any luck.
Thanks

Keep an eye on likely activity. It's pretty quiet right now. This is an excellent site:

The graph you see is live data. You can even sign up to text alerts, but they're not that reliable. The email ones are better, but only just.

i wish i could see it when it appears. I heard on the news this morning that it has been sighted here but didn't catch exact whereabouts

It was visible here last night but I missed it. If you're intested, here's a link to the BBC NI website pictures, etc.

the capital is often too cloudy to see much by way of clear night skies, but one can only hope. This has been a dream of mine for years, to see it would be wonderful.
Nothing but rain!
have to keep eyes peeled..

We're thinking of heading out to the headland (north) with warm-up supplies, so we may be lucky to see it over the sea.
a few nips i reckon..

Atlantic coast of Northern Ireland, not far from Giants Causeway and Bushmills Distillery (!)

Thanks anne, we're close as well
By the way, green is quiet, orange is some activity and red is storm, though even that is no guarantee.
Good luck. I hope you see them. I'm quite jealous. Even last night doesn't seem to have hit as far south as York.

Hi, Mojo
That's fantastic. Looks as if near midnight is best.
A detailed explanation of the graphs and text alerts can be found here.

Apparently, it was seen in Keswick.
Yeah annie, midnight is usually the witching hour, usually until about 2 am, though usually not all the time.
I know it seems obvious to some, but look north. If you have a camera that can do long exposures try that too. Open the shutter for 30 seconds or so on a tripod. It can sometimes pick out what the eye can't see.

The headland is north, so we're in luck.
If only teleport existed I'd bring the dinky-poos.
