no housing benefit for the under 25s, that will make lots of babies and small children homeless, excellent stuff, they can set up shanty towns on the edge of cities near to the local tip so that the older kids can scavange for scrap metal to sell for food, because no housing benefit means they wonlt qualify for free school meals, excellent, love this country me.

Dotty if the person you mention has 2 disabled sons the motability car will be for them with her as named driver. If she is going off to bingo in it and leaving her 2 wheel chair bound sons at home that is an abuse of the car and should be reported. There is a 'report abuse' page on the motability web site.
Aways thought that the biggest scroungers, freeloaders and cheats were the the very same people who enact the laws to suit themselves.....no sense in opening the fridge door only to find it empty....must keep up a decent standard of living (by robbing the poor again). After all, they only have their fat pensions, bonuses and golden hand-outs etc to look forward to when they get older!!!
About time too.

The workshy have to understand that benefits are a saftey net not a lifestyle.

If you cant find a job locally then get on your bike and find one. I am not asking anyone else to do why I have not done so don't say it is unreasonable. Times have changes you cannot expect hard working people to subsidize the idle and feckless.

And lets hope this includes the foreigners who pile in having paid nothing with hordes of kids claiming £2m houses and more benefit than a working man could ever hope to earn.
It angers me to hear all about these cuts in our own country when the real issue should be cutting the enormous amount we give as foreign aid - I agree that some should be given to those in real need abroad after disasters for instance, but not to countries like India or Pakistan who are so rich they run their own space programme. It beggars belief what these politicians are thinking.
Don't ya just love the Tories, they always revert back to form.
All this gloom and doom....cant wait for the interest rate rises to start !
In practice in would cause a lot of problems and of course it may be something to please the party faithful rather than a statement of policy- but I think it is necessary to send a signal from time to time that so called 'entitlements' should not necessarily be an entitlement in the future and that one person's benefits come from the taxes on hard earned income of others.

Okay, perhaps I should stick to recognising songs in adverts

If Labour did not keep giving the money away to anyone and everyone without any expectation of those people to ever get a job the tories would not need to clean up after Labour's mess.

Under the last Labour governemt the number of people who took more from the public purse than they paid in rose dramatically.

How long do you thnik that can go on?

The money has to be earned somewhere, someone has to pay tax to pay to run the NHS, education etc etc etc that make this country such a good place to live.

It the elected government just keep giving it away then we will continue to stay in the mess.
I think unless i am much mistaken Dotty was being ironic about the
woman and mobility car.

I have and will be badly affected by the cuts in the future, and don't know from one day to the next where this is all going. After a lifetime of work can't see me being employed ever again. Illness and long term mental health issues put paid to that. So can sympathise with anyone who finds themselves on the wrong side of these changes.
I maintain again that no one should receive benefits unless you have worked in Britain for a maximum of 5 years, the biggest drawback is if the person falls ill, as was pointed out to me the last time. But anyone else should not be receiving something they have not remotely paid for.
