Yesterday, Mick-Talbot asked a question in the news section about Mark Bridger.
anneasquith asked if April's father lives at home with the rest of the family and was asked, 'what's that got to do with anything?'
I didn't join in that debate so I'm asking here. Has the father of April Jones ever been mentioned?
The reason I am asking is because as far as I'm aware he wasn't at the press conference with April's mother and I'm sure I've never heard anything mentioned about him.

I don't know about the debate but I read I think in DailyMail that April Jones' dad's sight is very bad and that he could not attend the conference because of this.
I don't know where he lives, but I understand that he has advanced retinitis pigmentosa and was v upset that he couldn't help with the searching. I have a good mate with this and what was reported rang true.

Thanks for that. It's just that I read somewhere about the fact that a lot of child abductions/murders are quite often a close family member.
It's good to know now that her father wasn't involved.
And that's why I said 'what has that got to do with it'

//It's good to know now that her father wasn't involved.//
He has been mentioned often in press articles and there was a photo of him and April in yesterday's paper.
It's sad about his sight but I guess he still could have attended the press conference. Anyway, I guess it's easy to say that. They must be going through pure hell so I shouldn't really say that.
Maybe he thought it better to stay home with the other children?
Or he was heavily sedated...

He does live at the family home.
