Cartoon dog show

Someone help me with this random question:

Does anyone remember a cartoon tv show years ago based around a group of streetwise homeless dogs who looked after a little puppy who had lost his boy? They had adventures every week whilst trying to find the boy but always just missed him at the end of each episode.

nicey, I have vague recollections of this, but cannot for the life of me recall the name!

was it rude dog and the dweebs. thats the only dog based cartoon i can remember.

It wasn't Rude Dog, that is an answer that everyone gives. To be fair it is nothinglike Rude Dog at all, much more of a moraly based wholesome tv cartoon. The first asnwer seems to be the same with eveyone, they all recall it but don't know the name.
