Do you sometimes hold back from marking a post as a 'Best Answer' in case you upset someone who has also replied with a good answer?

The Ed has 50 Best Answers and 3 Badges. "A fix", I hear you think, well if I were Ed I would have 50 squillion Best Answers and 3 zillion Badges.

Not because I'm worried about upsetting someone but often there are lots of decent answers - or all useless ;)

Aside from that I just forget most of the time.
Doesn't affect me as I rarely start threads anyway...
I've never awarded a 'Best Answer', makes life easy for me!
No :-)

I know what you mean EvianBaby. I think it's courteous to mark one of your replies with a Best Answer, but I do forget from time to time.

At the moment I don't know which post to award a Best Answer to :)
Give it to the Ed then, wiltsman!
Award it to yourself wiltsman (then change it if you wish). It's utter piffle, or a bit of fun. Come to think of it, award it to me then change it back to yourself.
I very rarely award Best Answers as I don't want to offend anyone.

and chaptazbru,

Hope I haven't upset any of you, but I've decided to award the Best Answer to Wharton, mainly because he put gave a different slant to what the rest of you were answering!
No probs (lol).

Oops - omit 'put' or 'gave' to my post above.

Note to self, 'Proof read your answer before pressing submit'

ps. Thanks chaptazbru.
You're a gentleman wiltsman, thankyou.
