re Nick Cleggs ludicrous comments about millionaire oaps claiming free bus passes.
If they actually exist just how much is it costing the country?

It's a symbolic gesture, i think, rather than a proposal bases on economics - it would surely cost more to administer the required means test than it would save. How many rich pensioners use the buses?
However as I've said before the winter fuel allowance and free TV licence is an anomaly and should be replaced by an across the board increase in the state pension and this would mean better off pensioners would pay a bit more tax
How about millionaire MPs giving up ALL of their expenses?

We could then tax the ensuing flying pigs and make enough to look after ALL of our OAPs?
A good idea Duncer..but we all know pigs can't fly don't we....so many of our OAP's will have to remain unloved and uncared for by NC and his colleagues..:-{

I saw a TV programme once where pigs were being put an an aeroplane so they can fly.
lol..well Brim as I type I am watching the silly man make speech and if he's a politition worthy of leading a a Party then I'm a flying pig myself...what a dope!
