Why am I letting this get to me?

The village idiots are at it again and stirring gossip about me, none of it is true. My OH has been distant with me over it all too.
The issues just lately with my youngest son, the vandalism of the farm etc.. It's just caught up with me now.
Im stressed, I'm crying, I have complete lack of appetite and I just wish that I could disappear, I think everyone would be happier if I did to be honest.

awww....i'm sorry you are so sad and stressed, but with all that's been going on, i'm not surprised. i think you need to take time for yourself now and have a good cry if you need to. take to your bed for a bit and get everyone else to do stuff for a while. i quite like going 'on strike' for a bit when i feel low and my depression kicks in. you need to try and make sure you are ok first and foremost - and then maybe you can try to deal with things when you feel ready to....and help others or your family. please see your gp if this continues and come on here for chats and support from all of us. i wish you all the best and urge you to focus on yourself x
Kat, poor you :( you really are going through the mill aren't you..... from what you have said previously, your relationship isn't long established as yet??? even so I cannot understand why on earth he is not being supportive to you & helping with the problems with your son etc....you have after all been very supportive during harvest & cooking late dinners etc etc .. He SHOULD be your rock & standing up for you in every quarter (even if he doesnt agree privately, he should in public!!!) ....have you had your party to celebrate end of harvest??? if not, let HIM do it, you are afterall HIS rock!! ...
I agree with you Jan, your OH should be there for you in your times of need! These bloody farmers, believe me I know what I'm talking about, I've married one too, they never change, just expecting you to be there cook and cleaner ... there servant, having no identity of your own! How is the situation with your son and the vandalism? Any news?
