Please will someone confirm that question 22 has a spelling mistake? It is so very unusual to find such a thing in this wonderful quiz that I am beginning to doubt myself even though I know I am right!!!! P

Hi- I haven't got the quiz but will see what I think if you post the clue
They've used "reportedly" (sounds like) in order to use another colour, I believe
No, you're not 'right'. It says 'reportedly'...

22.Young thug that is between colouts was brought to book by Green repotedly. 6,5. I think it should be Greene.!!!! P
The query has been answered by a couple of posters above. (I assume the quiz is still live so it may be wrong to give the exact answer on here but hopefully you can work it out now.)
Pea Brain, I know you were asked in a round about way to show the clue, but given how early this is in the quizzes outing, perhaps best left.
I still love the "I know I am right"
Presumably referring to the answer they have reached, no real need for such caustic comments.
Clues in the latest Rainbow quiz "Exercise the Extremities" are all consistent with normal crossword clueing practices (& this includes the of the word "reportedly"). As has been noted the quiz is "Live" - closing date not til 30Nov 2012. Please don't give give clues/hints/answers here, where thise of us who like to c omplete it solo have a chance. Only a few clues left to solve, but only 11 weeks to go !!!

Thank you for your comments. I was not asklng for clues or answers but just a general query. I did not realise that the word reportedly meant what you are inferroing in cryptic lingo!!! :-) P
Sorry for bad typing skills - new tablet , not used to it yet! ! :-) P
It does say "Green reportedly", presumably to put you off the scent with regard to colours
I guess you mean Green? But that would be Greene REPORTEDLY - eg sounds the same.
But I don't know GG books, so have not yet got the answer!
oops - I hadn't seen all the replies - mine was rather redundant!
Quite right to ask teh question - next time you'll know that reportedly means 'sounds like'.
Good luck with rest of teh quiz (I'm half-way).
No, the spelling is correct as the writer referred to is Green 'reportedly' i.e. Greene. Hope that helps.
