I've met a man who is actually my doctor. He is a similar age to me. I felt `vibes' from him. (I've had 4 appointments for an ongoing issue) He's very sweet and seemed to get tongue-tied a couple of times. He has only very recently moved to the area as have I.

My problem is that I am very shy. I can chat to him and have a laugh but I couldn't imagin furthering things with him.

I have found out that he is not married but I don't know if he is single or not. I really want to find out as I can't stop thinking about him.

I'm 27 years old.

I looked him up on Friend Reunited and he said that he'd recently moved to the area and had bought a new house yet he made no mention of a girlfriend. Does this mean he's single?

I do get the feeling that he likes me but I can't be sure.

Please advise. I'm going out of my mind.

Just ask him !, you have got nothing to lose as he cant get struck off for being asked out, you will get an answer from him as to whether he is governed by the GMC and is allowed to have a relationship with you and whether he feels the same or not, because lets face it if the answer is no, you're not gonna go there again anyway are you ?

I think everyone's getting a bit serious here. He's not a doctor, he's a chiropractor. I'm not putting him down, I have a wonderful chiro. Everyone has to meet people somehow.

Could you get the friend of your mothers to do a bit of match making next time she goes and sees him, " ooo I told my friends daughter to come and see you, did she? lovely girl you know, single... are you single..." you know the type of thing, very bridget jones, but that way if you ever met him again, it wouldn't be embarrassing as it didn't come from you.

Well he may be registered with The General Chiropractic Council which have similar regulations to the GMC.

Having thought about it you should just ask him outright, then you will know one way or the other.
