no, to see some actors prancing about in this way turns me off completely. perhaps some of the leaders of these countries could do more for their people, instead of buying large homes and endless cars
I was once very poor, now I'm not, therefore I can help people. If I give it all away I can help no-one. Wealth isn't the issue here in itself, it's a sense of what's right and wrong. It's clearly wrong for people to not have enough clean water when other people have 15 cars, so we all need to do whatever we can to rectify that but that comes by altering the attitude of society as a whole not by identifying wealth as the culprit in the fight against poverty.Wealth dealt with correctly is the poor's greatest ally.
I agree em10. All these 'celebrities' who rough it for a week. know that they can go home to all mod cons and a wage at the end of it. Not so the poor people they are posing with. In this day and age everyone should be living as humanly as possible. But how long do we have to feel guilty for their plight, by coughing up millions in aid all the time?
