On AnswerBank recently we have seen condemnation threads on the Assange affair, also on the Pussy Riot affair, but strangely for some reason, no one has condemned the massacre of miners by the South African Police, although I did mention it briefly in jake-the-peg's Pussy Riot and the Chess Champion thread.

Were the Police in their right to shoot these weapon wielding miners, and is this the way justice is metered out in South Africa?

/// Oh and I've checked - you didn't post any questions about the massacre in Norway. It's really easy to do a search in AB. ///

If you had took less time than you did searching if I had entered a particular thread, you would have soon noticed that I previously said,

I can't be bothered to check all that way back, but since it was headline news at the time, I am sure I must have contributed to it in some way, if not by entering a thread myself, or joining in on someone else's thread

And the person who obviously beat me to it was Gromit and here is his thread on the subject, notice that I contributed quite a bit.

as i recall from the footage they showed of the police opening fire, there were also white officers amongst the police. so not exactly a black on black crime. As an aside this mine is British owned isn't it, so what exactly are they doing about this awful scenario.
as to the miserable comments about our murdering police, course they are not, they are sorely put upon officers trying to do a job, that you and i wouldn't touch with a bargepole. They are not fascist wielding thugs, no matter what some think. There are the cases where an officer has been add up in court, but would that happen anywhere else, perhaps in the USA, but elsewhere, not likely.
