The 'Chicken Tonight' brand. You get them in jars in mosy supermarches
Ah - thank you - I was confused, I thought you meant you had chicken tonight (well, you did...!).
I don't buy jars of sauces as I don't know what's in them. I feel I'm missing out sometimes.
You're not Tilly...
In my heart of hearts, I knew I wasn't. It's just that some of them seem to be a very easy short cut to producing something edible. Still wouldn't buy them though.
The Honey Mustard one is quite nice.
'Spanish Chicken' sauce ingredients

Tomatoes (50%),Tomato Paste (23%) ,Red & Green Peppers (15%) ,Onions (5%) ,Sugar ,Olive Oil (1.4%) ,Cornflour ,Salt ,Lemon Juice ,Garlic ,Thyme ,Black Pepper

So easy to make yourself.
Its the fat and sugar parts that I'm wary of.
It might be easy mamy but when you both work 10 / 12 hour days (most days) it's damned convenient dontchaknow.
I can't remember the last time I bought a jar of sauce.

I share Mamya's view that they are easy to make and Tilly's concern about the loading of sugar and salt, not to mention other unnecessary ingredients.

I accept that in some circumstances e.g. convalescing and unable to spend a long time standing in the kitchen or wanting to have an introduction to something new then they might have their place. On the whole though I think a quick Google search and starting from scratch is better....and generally cheaper.
