My son has a new laptop (refurbished from PC World)He downloaded a programe and got the web cam working,so we know it DID work. Now he says he closed it down(probably after a lot of messing around with things best left alone)then when he restarted it the next day the web cam was gone.
Thinking the programe was at fault he got another one,but still no joy.
We have done various things to the laptop, the drivers are there and on System devices it is there. When the program runs it just shows a blank screen.
I am hoping it is just a case of something has been disabled, uninstalled or somehow removed but we cannot figure out anything that is obviously missing.

The help site thinks he should give them a call, but I was wondering if there is anything else we could try.OH has even tried update drivers and the system thinks everything is working properly.
There is nothing in the recycle bin,but he did a system restore so thats how desperate we are getting.
He is running windows 7 home premium on an Advent monza red,if thats any help.

Ideas welcome please to help a heartbroken lad :(
Thanks
Aya
