I was wondering how the director's cut of the film Picnic At Hanging Rock, which is meant to be 11 minutes shorter than the original cut of the film, differs from the first version: which bits were cut out and so on. Also, when was the director's cut first made available on video or DVD: I first bought the film on video back in 1997, and I'm curious as to whether this is the original version or the director's cut.

Go here for a discussion of the film: http://us.imdb.com/Title?0073540 ...it looks like the DVD version is the director's cut. Seems like most people prefer the full version, which you have now prompted me to rewatch this weekend.
