Very very hard to suggest anything when we don't know anything about him or his interests.

Have a look here...

Hi kat difficult to suggest when we know nothing of his hobbies / interests ! The good old gift voucher is mostly welcomed.....or a nice bottle of wine ? Or voucher to have a back massage ?
I just bought our friend (58) one of these! As we get older, there's less we need so presents these days are pretty bonkers!

I love the idea of a Didgeridoo... It's brill!

His hobbies are mainly shooting, off roading, outdoor stuff etc
As he doesn't want "anything", then you get HIM what he wants, but get it for someone else, i.e

how about take him a box wrapped up in birthday paper..but leave it empty..then you are both satisfied..you have taken him something...yet he has recieved nothing...you both end up pleased...lol....
It's boring I know, but if he likes shooting get him a voucher (or credit note) from the local gun dealer for ammunition, at least it's something he'd use.
