Do they really work? If so, which brand is the best? I want to try them for when I can't sleep which is not often but when it does happen I literally get half an hours sleep a night for a few nights. Have tried Rescue remedy which had no effect on me.

Thanks

I like nytol... works a treat on me. Don' take it for more than a couple of days running though.

I agree Nytol is fab.I only use when desperate because like everything else the effect lessens if used too frequently.

I would never have believed it - you just go out like a light and the next the its morning.

I have tried nytol. The herbal one never worked for me. The one that isn't herbal was great.

kalms are useful, valerian, passiflora, and potters

but rescue remedy will keep you awake so avoid at night!

i've used 'Natrasleep' on a number of occasions and its worked well on me, also makes me feel wide awake as soon as my alarm goes off in the morning.
I use valerian and also take st john wort at bedtime as it relaxes the nervous system...i dont think you can go wrong with valerian its really good..
i use Nytol and lay as still as possible and imagine myself sinking into the bed, relaxing all my muscles, willing everything to be at ease... the combination does wonders.
