Engagement present

I am going to an engagement party in a hall on Saturday.

Havent got a clue what to buy , any ideas before I shop tomorrow?

Safe, but maybe predictable, options would be a photo frame or bottle of champagne.

A decent quality travelling rug never goes wrong.

I always buy trees through Woodland Trust for anything like this. Saves getting toasters back if it`s called off or a couple get divorced. :-)

Do people buy engagement presents then? I'd just buy the couple a drink when I got there! I guess champers always goes down well.

Depends how much you want to spend really pusskin...Unless you want to ask them if there's anything they'd like how about a nice bottle of wine and a voucher for one of the large department stores? After 6 years household things often need to be replaced or added to.

champagne....a nice bottle, some flowers and chocolates. all to be consumed at a later date in private....except the flowers, that is! x
