I got fed up with FireFox as it kept seizing up and driving me nuts. I am now on day three of Google Chrome and am still tinkering with the settings.

I have been unable to -

When I click on an email address (for a competition entry) I used to be taken to my G Mail account but now it seems to want to take me to outlook express (I don't use it). Can anyone help me find where to change the settings. Please.

I'm surprised that you got Firefox to direct you to a web-based account when you clicked on an email link. The whole point of such links is that they launch your default email client (such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail or Thunderbird) with the address already filled in, rather than go to a web page (which is what you seem to want to do). That applies across ALL web browsers.

I can only assume that you must have had an extension installed with Firefox, which changed the normal way that it responded to you clicking on an email link. Here's something similar for Chrome:

Thanks - I can't remember how I got firefox set up to my specifications, but it was just perfect.

I will try your link in the morning - I still have the autofill to work out.

Have a nice weekend.
