I am a firm believer in freedom of speech and in using art of all types to make political statements. Whilst I think Madonna is a self serving publicist I'm glad she's done this as it's got everyone talking about a particularly odious politician whose party didn't do as shabbily as I would have liked, and this is important. If she's not a Holocaust denier, hater of black people, gays and Jews then I'm sure this will flush her out to publicly say so... but I'm not holding my breath.
As to anonymity, I would be perfectly happy to say anything under my real name that I say on here under my pseudonym- my facebook is there for anyone whose interested.
i don't use any website other than this, am not a believer in splashing details all over the place. Have views on most things, but the likes of Madonna could easily get lots of security, and has enough money in the bank to afford herself good lawyers. I on the other have not. Anonymity,
that is the main reason i like this site.
Madonna has got it wrong this time, but being a strong advocate of the Kaballah she may have wanted to get the message across to Marine le Pen that the Holocaust was real and not to be ignored.
Each to their own Em, it wasn't a critiscism, just an observation that I never say anything anonymously that I would not back up with my real name.
// I've been to all her concerts and witnessed her singing whilst wearing a crown of thorns on a crucifix, 'pleasuring' herself whilst dancers dressed as hermaphrodites 'attend' to her and include a dance routine where a Middle Eastern dancer rips off a burkha to perform a dance routine in a bra and panties. //

Fantastic. Was that all in the one song?
It's a bit rich branding Madonna a self-publicist in the face of the activities of the Front National, which has desperately but not all that convincingly tried to shed it's Nazi image. Methinks Ms Le Pen doth protest too much.
I wasn't having a go at people with usernames (as I said, I'm one), just suggesting many of them are in no position to criticise Madonna for making the same sort of criticisms they make themselves of people they don't like.

The self pleasuring was during 'Like A Virgin' on the Blonde Ambition tour (1990).

Crown of thorns was whilst singing 'Like A Prayer' on the Confessions tour (2005).

The burkha-clad dancer featured during a song called 'Isaac'. Also on the Confession show.

I could also add the sequence where she had two male dancers dressed as a Jew and Muslim snogging each other during a song called 'Forbidden Love' during the same concert.

That's what she does...

And would 'jno' be your forename or your surname?
AOG, that's already been pointed out.

That sometimes happens when one reads down the answers and comes across the first relevant statement, and then one answers it only to discover later on that someone further down has made a similar comment.
I have twice pointed out on this thread that I also use a pseudonym, aog; but feel free to mention it again in case there are any very slow people just beginning to notice it.

/// but feel free to mention it again in case there are any very slow people just beginning to notice it. ///

Yes it does seem that there are some 'slow people' because if they had been a little quicker they would have noticed my explanation to em10.

This being the first relevant statement I came to, and which I answered and submitted before I read any further statements.

/// singers can make political comments if they want. At least she does it under her own name, unlike most ABers. ///

And this was the first time you made reference, criticising most ABers, was it not?

Please try and keep up.
It looks the wrong way round to me...
