on 1 June 2012, I bought a car radio for £79 and a mobile phone for £500 from littlewoods to pay in 20 week. They never arrived although I paid extra £4.95 for them to be delivered the next day. It has been 1 month 10 days and have been calling them every day, they kept saying, they were investigating it and shockingly, I was told today that the Currier informed them today that "the parcels were actually delivered". Unbelievable. They now told me to send them my signature on an official paper...
Anyone knows what my rights are?

Well for a start I'm not sure what they want your signature for. If you ordered it online or from a catalogue you are protected by distance selling regulations. If you have paid extra for next day delivery and it is a 'signed for' service, then the burden of proof is upon them to prove you have received the goods, not for you to prove that you haven't.

Is your address hard to find, a flat or a residential property. Have you had problems before when receiving goods via a courier? To be honest I don't think I'd have let it go on for a month or more. There is a cooling off period for goods purchased but not opened / spoiled. This period does not start until the day upon which you take receipt of the goods. You haven't received them at all, so cancel the order and demand a full refund including postage.

Thanks very much for your answer.

The problem is that, as I am at work until 7pm, I particularly given them my work address for delivery and nobody turned up there to deliver at all. On the day, I have not received it, I phoned them up and said, I paid extra for the order be delivered today but I have not received them. They than said, they re-arrange for delivery the next day. Since nothing was delivered again, I phoned every single day since then and I they kept saying, they are investigating. Until today to tell me the currier informed them that they actually delivered on the original delivery date as requested.

Although I repeatedly said I have received nothing, they insisted that they have to check the signature against my signature to determine whether it is my signature or not. I have been shopping with them for long time now and never had this problem before but it is shame to see that they are not helpful at all. All they are now saying is , until the signature has been verified that does not match with the one the currier holds, no refund will be issued.
£500 pounds for a mobile phone? Jeez!

@Shop_Direct why do not you bother to resolve the problem instead finding excuses not to respond to my emails????
If this company was honest, they would have sorted out the problem since I have been calling the customer services everyday for 1 month now.!!!!!!!

i don't see why you can't just send them your signature - they will see it doesn't match then it will be all resolved!
Although if it's one of those electronic hand held signature things it wont match anyway!

@bednobs...I have already sent it to them. but the problem is, they took 1 month to ask me for the signature..!
Why don't littlewoods put the proper email address on their website instead of letting customers go through this nonsense?
