I have several gripes that I wish to make about Virgin Holidays. My family recently went on a holiday to Florida with them. Many issues around the booking, the flight and the staff on the flight. Appalling - beware! But I do want to write to appropriate organisations with my complaint. Have written to Virgin Holidays, Virgin Atlantic, but I am so cross I want to forward my complaint to other organisations that may be worthwhile. Any ideas?

depends on what you want to gain from your complaint. Is it bad enought that you feel you need compensating or do you just want to let people know about your experience. What would you like the outcome to be from your complaint?
you might want to put some of your gripes on here and get an unbiased opinion.it might be that your expectations are too high or that your furore is being misdirected.that is my idea.
Did you complain at the time? That is the most important thing.
I had a completely different experience to yourself and had the most fantastic holiday in Florida with Virgin, I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
If you don't get satisfaction from the company, the Saturday Times has a "Holiday Doctor" who takes up complaints from time to time. The companies dread being exposed as inefficient and uncaring, so usually, before the newspaper comes out, the company/companies concerned make sure they compensate - or at least explain, if it's not their fault.
Buy the next issue of the Saturday Times to get the email address.
teh Telegraph on Saturday does a similar thing. But be careful what you complain about. Simply saying staff didn't smile widely enough or bring your coffee quickly enough won't help. Sinderella's idea is sensible: run your gripes past someone else first.
If you have something to complain about, have witnesses or photos or think you deserve comppensation get onto ABTA.I did complain about a holiday, didnt have all that much evidence other than a false brochure description but eventually won back a third of my holiday cost.Took nearly a year, lots of letters, time and patience, but we knew we were in the right and at least got something back and hopefully the company (Thomas Cook) or some of their staff got reprimanded for their actions.
