A charity I support was giving a talk tonight. St.Pancras Past and Present. I love architecture, history and St.Pancras so just up my street I thought.
Now this chap gives two talks. The aforementioned one and St.Pancras the Saint.
Some eejit on the committee booked the wrong one!
I now know more than I ever wanted to about St. Sodding Pancras, his mum and dad, his beheading, Augustine, Constantine, Dicwhatsittine, Pope Gregory and the rise of Christianity in Rome.
By 8.15 I was chewing the chair in front of me and when, at 8.30 they had a non-alcoholic refreshment break, I was out the back door, in my car and flying up the A14 before you could say tickets please.
Holy Mother! My day went from bad to worse.
The red is open and I may well finish the bottle.

I wanted some on the hotel Baza. I know a little and the guy mentioned it tonight but St.Pancras was fourteen. What`s to tell. But the buildings are fascinating. Thomas Hardy and John Betjeman??? So much to learn. Ah well.
