Actually, I have now found the name of the church - it was the Karel Boromejsky Church, where they hid in the crypt for several days before being betrayed. They were subsequently atacked by the SS and committed suicide after a six-hour battle.

The name of the church you mean is the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius. It is a Greek Orthadox church where the commandos hid, and eventually made their last stand before those not killed in the gun battle commited suicide rather than be caught by the Nazis. The church itself today still exists and houses a small museum in the crypt - which has been preserved as it was and is very emotional to visit.
