I cannot find the original post, but with reference to the people who said that they would not eat frogs' legs, I am reminded of the cartoon showing frogs sitting in wheelchairs

caviar or any fish roe. I couldn't eat it for a £100
Casu Marzu (said it on the other thread).
Tripe.
No amount of money would get that down me.
liver,sausages,tripe.
Frogs legs are quite nice ,bit like chicken. Snails are nice and chewy with lots of garlic on them. Its just the thought of it I think with most people
.
Frogs legs are indeed nice, but they keep kicking the peas off the plate....
I would not eat a Scottish £100 note for £50; if it were mine that is.
I think it was me who wouldn't eat frogs legs or fried insects. My daughter wouldn't eat soft herring roe which I love, and she likes cod roe, which I hate.
I like caviar. Just wish i could afford it more often.
Frogs legs are nice, but a lot of bone and not much meat.

Caviar is fab and gorgeous ... although I only buy the lumpfish stuff from Waitrose, coz I'm a tight arse (except occasionally with the BF).

I don't like soft roe very much.

I would also struggle with casu marzu. I looked on YouTube to see if there were any clips of anyone actually savouring it as a delicacy (it is meant to be!) ... but could only find a family eating it as a challenge, and obviously hating it, and Gordon Ramsay eating one bit, to say he'd done it. There is no evidence of anyone, anywhere, actually enjoying it.
HK ... that lumpfish caviar is really quite nice, and it's about £3.00
What is Casu Marzu? Never heard of it. Tried frogs legs, very chickeny but I was suprised they were not green! Escargot ok but chewy. Couldn't eat tripe, looks as if it should be nailed to the bottom of shoes. Love fish but do not like sardines. Had lumpfish but not keen, had proper caviar ditto.
Google "casu marzu" carandrog ... otherwise you won't believe us!
Thanks for that JJ, I couldn't believe it, never heard of it before and do not want to again!
My dad was a true Londoner and loved jellied eels. Just the look of them made me feel sick.
I wouldn't attempt to eat caviar or frogs legs, and certainly not snails yuk.

No problem with frogs legs, they're delicious! Caviar, sushi, escargot... no problem. What I couldn't eat is things like Balute (fertilized duck or chicken egg with a nearly-developed embryo in it), or live insects ... not even sure I could eat cooked ones for that matter! I wouldn't touch Hakarl (fermented basking shark from Iceland) or Fugu (a poisonous Japanese fish), Casu Marzu (YUK!!!!!). I hate uncooked oysters and soft cod roe, but might pluck up the courage to eat it if the price were right, lol ...
