Is there any conclusive proof that chillis help with a hangover through you sweating out the toxins? You'd think that sweating would get rid of water, electrolytes and make you feel even worse but it's quite the opposite, I've recently been doing eating hot and spicy food the following day after a night out and it seems to work and I'm pretty sure it isn't placebo. Does anyone else swear by this method?

It is a bit of a placebo effect although spices have been used for hundreds of years as medicinal ingredients. They are a way of releasing toxins within the body. However, when it comes to hangovers, the only reason water makes you feel terrible at first is because essentially you've replaced the water in your body with poison the night before and are dehydrated. Water is still the best method.
