what kind of saxaphone.??

im trying to find out "what kind" of saxaphone i like listening to. my favourites include "sade,s smooth operator" and "tears for fears working hour" from "songs from the big chair." both name the sax players but not what kind of sax. can anyone help please......or any other suggestions.? thanks.

Possibly Alto.
tenor and alto are most common with the soprano used some also. If you listen to anything by Paul Taylor you will hear mostly tenor and alto.

it was originally a tenor for Smooth operator, but it can also be keyed on an alto.
Or even a saxophone.
