Anyone would think that the Daily Mail is baiting their own readership in this thorough non-story...and some of them are falling for it ('Does the PC brigade expect me to have a certain number of black friends etc')

I saw this programme last night and the chemistry between Miriam Margolyes and Will.I.Am made for hilarious telly...so who is the Daily Mail attacking in this report?

The Guardian never lies does it?

It's a newspaper, it is trying to sell newspapers. Dont take everything so literally.
And no, I dont read The Mail, never have.

/// The tone of the article suggested that Will.I.Am was
shocked ///

I also saw the show, and indeed he appeared to be, there was an uncomfortable period of silence among the others, Graham Norton shifted around in his chair not knowing what to say, and Will rolled his eyes in silent disbelief.

Sensing what she had said Miriam Margolyes from that moment on started to patronise Will by clapping and congratulated him no matter what he said.

This does not come out in the youtube clip because it has been carefully edited.

The particular period of the show starts 5.14 minutes into the clip.
