I had to cancel a dentist appt you cant park anywhere near the surgery its all permit parking it was raining and too far to walk even half way and the mini cab office [ rang three] were not taking anymore bookings only regular clients which was fair but I hardly ever use cabs. Dentist kindly changed me to Monday and the receptionist said "is there a bus strike i didnt know that " doh !

No buses here and so son will be to walk home in torrential rain for couple miles - don't have the car this afternoon to pick him up.
What bus strike ?
Mr. Towie had to walk to the train station this morning - he wasn't best pleased, its a bloody long walk.
London buses are on strike, well a great deal of them are. Including the school routes - bl00dy ridiculous.
Nope. I didn't even notice actually. Mind you, I don't take the bus during the week :c)
I`d forgotten all about it until I drove past a picket line this afternoon. There does seem to be more traffic on the roads, especially women in chelsea tractors doing the school run.
