My System configuration is Celeron 810+, 128 RAM & 40GB HDD. Can not install Windows XP Professional, giving insufficient memory error. Tried to upgrade from WIndows98SE, but failed.Suggestion on installation requested.

If I'm looking at the right Celeron specs, I don't think you can. XP Pro requires a minimum clock speed of 233 MHz, and the 810 seems to run at a max of 133 MHz.

If this is the case, I'd be tempted to get a new PC if you need XP Pro.

yes, with those specs you won't get very far with windows XP.

either buy a new computer to use XP, or try installing windows2000: requires less memory and speed than XP. though your current PC may still run pretty slowly with 2000.
XP will run with a clock speed of 100!
what's wrong with installing more memory , cheap and a 5 minute job?
but XP will not run _well_ with a clock speed of 100, regardless of the RAM! especially not if you plan to do anything else at all, like burning a CD or something.
