Did Bruce Springsteen play with Roy Orbison?

Did Bruce Springsteen ever play guitar with Roy Orbison? Roy's Orbison's Greatest Hits was a programme on the Performance Channel recently, and included some black and white clips of Roy Orbison singing some of his songs, including Pretty Woman. I am convinced that the guitar player who did the solo was a young Bruce Springsteen - my husband says the ages are all wrong. Did anybody see the programme? Was that Bruce Springsteen?
