DVD Region Codes

I am looking for the code to free up a JCV HR-XV31EK, any help would be most welcome.

Have you looked up the region hack sites (Google it)? Seems difficult to find this one. Here's one reply:-

"Sorry, do not know of any hacks for that particular machine, but why not get the FREE software called DVD Shrink, which will allow you to put them onto your computer and convert them into DVD Region 2 (or any other region.) Its a very easy piece software to use to!! Hope this helps! "

Another site does say it has a hack but it is the site that takes payment of $5 (�2.75):-

Looks as if JVC models are like Toshiba in that they need to be 'chipped' rather than be 'hacked' from the remote.
