What's for lunch?

I seem to be managing with breakfast and evening meal choices, but I do struggle with lunch ideas.
If I'm at home at lunchtime I usually will have soup or a couple of boiled eggs or perhaps a jacket potato, but if I'm out, I can't think of something that I could take out with me apart from a sandwich and as I'm not buying bread at the moment then a sandwich is out of the question.
Any ideas please?

You were sensible to lie low there, MissP !!

LOL
Oat cakes are excellent for lunch- they are filling and good for you. Have some with a little pot of houmous (you can buy small x 3 pots in Morrisons) and some carrot sticks. Have some grapes with it. You'll be surprised how filling they are!
do you have access to a fridge? If so, I keep a tin of Ryvita in a drawer and take in egg mayo (light of course), paté, or soup to go with it. Heinz do a great little sachet of soup which you just add water too. YOu have to do it quite slowly and stir a lot but it tastes great. I also take in rice, sweetcorn and chopped up chicken in the winter. Make sure you chill down the rice as soon as it is cooked and put straight in the fridge. Of the above, only the soup is any use to you if you don't have a fridge....Good luck
the following could be made into wraps, with or without salad; Chicken, ham & egg mayo, egg mayo & sweetcorn, chicken mayo & sweetcorn. If any help, I've also seen flask type containers (they are shorter and wider than standard flasks) than hold chunky soups, so they could also be used for noodles & pasta.
Unfortunately I'm finding some wraps can be as calorific as some slices of bread - check the packaging before you buy! I take hummus and carrot sticks.

I know yuo don't like cold pasta but I often find that fortifies me at lunchtime, it fills me up and gives me carbs for the afternoon.
I would advice turning into a sparrowhawk and then catching a pigeon and then eating it. That is a very healthy option if you are an animagus.

Hope this helps, missprim.

Thanks to all of you for your replies.
Mustanglady I will look out for those containers for soup and boxy thanks for the tip about the wraps.
Think I'm going to spend more time working out what I can eat, than I do in eating it.:-)
How about a huge fruit salad in a box? Or just fruit/raw veg in general? Convenient to carry around when out and about.
Do people actually eat Ryvita?
Oh to be able to eat even a mini pork pie without guilt!
Yep - ate two this evening Daisy. The new Ryvita recipes make them much tastier than before and I have them in place of bread or toast.
