Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone can come up with a logical reason why Biotin (vitamin B7) should cause weight gain?

Vitamin B7
Vitamin B7 is also known as biotin, and it helps your body metabolize carbohydrates and protein. Additionally, this vitamin is involved in hormone production, which can aid in weight loss. Specifically, increased levels of vitamin B7 are related to increased levels of insulin-like growth factor-1, or IGF-1, according to a study from the April 2009 issue of "European Journal of Nutrition." Research from the May 2011 issue of "Obesity" indicates that higher levels of this hormone correspond to lower BMI and body fat percentage.

I know it's touted as being useful for weight loss but there are a few things on the net where people have gained weight and it's had that effect on me too. Just wondering why really?
