There's a furniture shop down the road from work called Abode. When the posty came he accidently gave us something meant for them so like a good neighbour I popped down there to give it to them.

The car park was oddly heaving and when I walked in it occurred to me that's because they are having a closing down sale. I walked around for a couple of minutes and now all I want to do is go back and spend a fortune. It's all gorgeous oak furniture and loads of lovely little decorative bits. All up to half price. I can't normally afford to shop there.

Now, I could tell myself that if I go back and take my purse with me I'll end up making myself poor for the rest of the month or I could take it as fate that the posty left me a letter meant for them and that it happened to be pay day yesterday.

To spend or not to spend? That is the question.

The bonus of just moving into my first house is that I don't have any old furniture that I would have to get rid of to fit new stuff in. The downside is that I've already spent a small fortune on furnishing the place.

Think I'll stop in on my way home. Then if there's anything left I fancy it will definitely be fate.

And Jake, of course I'd be nice to the staff. Why wouldn't I be?
