Replacement spools for Parkside PRT550/3 Lawn Trimmer

Does anyone know where to obtain above item. Stratford Power Garden Machinery have closed down, and DES (Direct Electrical) have confirmed they can no longer supply. Alternatively, has anyone rewound a spool with lines? What is the knack? Do you have to remove the white plastic sheath that covers the line?

Have you tried removing empty spool, going along to local diy or b&q and seeing if they have one by independent manufacturers that fits?
